Sizani Foundation is a South African NPO that has been established to augment the government in its effort to meet the Sustainable Development Goals.
Our mission is to play a role in the eradication of pit latrines in rural schools by providing safe, modern and environmentally friendly sanitation facilities thus helping to break the poverty cycle.
We envision a holistic educational experience for the African child. One free from the shackles of poverty.

What We Do
- Rescuing Learners
The Johannesburg Plan of Implementation (JPOI) as adopted by the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in 2002 had the following targets amongst its goals.
Sanitation coverage to be achieved in all rural areas by 2025 Improve sanitation in public schools.
- Finding Quality Material
Although efforts are being done by the Government, the backlog is still huge. Basic sanitation is enshrined in the South African Constitution and is therefore a Constitutional Right.

Sizani Foundation has been established to augment the Government in its effort to meet this Sustainable Development Goal.
- To provide learners with the opportunity to acquire literacy, numeracy, creativity and communication skills
- To help learners enjoy learning and develop the desire to continue learning.
- To develop the ability for critical thinking and logical judgement.
